GRRL! SUMMARY:
- KRYSTEN ANDERSON didn’t just break the monster truck high jump record – she obliterated it by 12.5 feet with a 33.8-foot leap that landed her in the Guinness Book of World Records. The daughter of Grave Digger legend Dennis Anderson had never driven a monster truck until 18, yet four years later she’s proven that talent runs in the family while carving her own path in the most iconic truck in the sport.
- The pressure on ANDERSON was immense from day one – being the first woman to drive Grave Digger while carrying the Anderson family legacy and representing all women in motorsports. She admits her rookie year was “rough,” dealing with painfully honest fans and the weight of expectations, but used that pressure as fuel to prove she belonged alongside her world champion father and brothers.
- Monster Jam currently has two women holding world championship titles – CYNTHIA GAUTHIER in high jump and LINSEY READ in freestyle – marking the first time in over 20 years that women have dominated multiple categories. ANDERSON’s next goal is joining that elite group while potentially designing and driving her own truck, leveraging her artistic talents to create a Grave Digger spinoff that builds her own fanbase beyond the family legacy.
