GRRL! SUMMARY:
- LAURA HAYES started from Am class pole position in 11th overall and held the lead through the opening stint, showcasing strong racecraft in her Thunder Bunny Racing BMW despite transponder issues that initially made it appear she hadn’t started the race.
- Technical gremlins struck HAYES 22 minutes into the race when she was forced to pit for a new left front tire, handing the Am class lead to BimmerWorld Racing’s James Clay and ultimately costing her a potential class victory.
- Despite the setback, HAYES and co-driver Allen Patten fought back to finish fourth in Am class, proving their pace was genuine even as Random Vandals Racing’s Darius Trinka capitalized on pit strategy to claim his second win of the weekend.
