SHEENA MONK Eyes Full Season GTD Program: ‘Long-Term Stability’ the Goal

• SHEENA MONK is actively working to secure a full season IMSA GTD program with Myers Riley Motorsports beyond her already confirmed Endurance Cup campaign. The FIA Bronze-rated driver joined the team’s Ford Mustang GT3 EVO effort relatively late but is pushing for “long-term stability” and hopes to confirm the expanded program “sooner than later.”
• Myers Riley Motorsports appears committed to chasing the Akin Award with MONK, which would require a full season campaign. The team’s focus has been getting to Daytona, but the infrastructure for a complete season push seems to be falling into place as they work through the paperwork to “get the year rolling.”
• The team’s No. 16 Mustang GT3 EVO now sports a throwback livery honoring the legendary Bud Moore Engineering BOSS 302 Mustang driven by Parnelli Jones and George Follmer in the 1969 Trans-Am season. Car owner Ross Myers plans to feature multiple historic Mustang liveries throughout the season, giving MONK’s campaign a distinctive visual identity that celebrates Ford’s racing heritage.
