Becca Monopoli is a Florida-based stock car driver who spent over a decade dominating regional racing before making the leap to the ARCA Menards Series, where she’s proving that championships and wins earned on short tracks translate to grit on the national stage.
EARLY YEARS
Born June 28, 1989, in Lakeland, Florida, Rebecca Monopoli grew up in a family where racing wasn’t just a hobby—it was in the DNA. Her father, Tom, worked on dirt sprint cars as a kid and introduced Becca to the track when she was young. Her mother is a winning Powder Puff driver, and her uncle is a highly successful racer. Tom even raced legend cars alongside Becca for a short time before discovering he preferred wrenching to driving. With that kind of lineage, it’s no surprise that Monopoli found her way behind the wheel in 2011, diving straight into Florida’s competitive Legends racing scene.
OTHER INTERESTS
Beyond racing, Monopoli is involved with the Florida Sheriff’s Youth Ranches, a non-profit organization that assists at-risk youth. It’s a cause that reflects her connection to her home state and her belief in giving back to the community that supported her racing career from the beginning.
EARLY SUCCESS
Monopoli didn’t waste time making a name for herself. In her first season of racing in 2011, she won Florida’s state points championship for Legends racing and earned Auburndale Speedway’s Driver of the Year award. The following year, she moved up to Pro Trucks and found immediate success, winning the championship at Orlando Speed World in 2013. Over the next several years, she became a force in Florida Pro Truck racing, racking up wins at tracks like Citrus County Speedway and Orlando Speed World. By the time she was ready to move beyond regional racing, she had amassed more than 90 wins and at least 20 championships across Florida’s short tracks.
NOTABLE ACHIEVEMENTS
- 2011: Won Florida state points championship for Legends racing and earned Auburndale Speedway Driver of the Year award[1].
- 2013: Won Pro Truck championship at Orlando Speed World[2].
- 2014: Scored multiple victories in Florida Pro Truck racing, including at Citrus County Speedway[3].
- 2015: Participated in the NASCAR Drive for Diversity Youth Combine[4].
- 2024: Made ARCA Menards Series debut, competing in eight races with City Garage Motorsports[5].
- Career: Earned 20+ championships and 97+ wins across multiple Florida racing series[6].
INSPIRATIONS
Monopoli has mentioned that she initially wanted to drag race because of Ashley Force, the NHRA star who made a name for herself in Top Fuel. As she got older, however, she realized her path was on circle tracks, where she could lean on her family’s expertise and her own growing skill set.
REPUTATION
In Florida racing circles, Monopoli is known as a fierce competitor who knows how to wheel a race car. Her nearly 100 wins and 20-plus championships speak for themselves. She’s not flashy, but she’s consistent, smart, and willing to make bold moves when they count—like picking the outside lane under the cone rule to snag a win. Her transition to ARCA in 2024 was a big step, and while the results weren’t immediately spectacular, she proved she belonged. Racing with her father Tom as her crew chief, Monopoli has the kind of family-backed operation that gives her an edge in communication and trust. She’s scrappy, determined, and focused on improvement rather than excuses.
FUTURE GOALS/PLANS
In 2025, Monopoli expanded her ARCA schedule to eight races with City Garage Motorsports, piloting the No. 85 Ford at tracks including Daytona International Speedway and Talladega Superspeedway. In September 2025, it was announced that she will run full-time in the ARCA Menards Series East in 2026, driving the No. 85 for CGM. Even bigger news: City Garage Motorsports will field the first all-female driver lineup in ARCA history in 2026, with Monopoli joined by teammates Quinn Davis and Logan Misuraca. It’s a groundbreaking moment for the sport, and Monopoli is at the center of it—ready to prove that women can compete, win, and make history at the national level.
