We tend to not point out that we’re women, so it’s uncomfortable, But I say to all of them: It’s going to be uncomfortable, but it’s going to be worth it.
Beth Paretta is a pioneering executive and team owner in motorsports, founding Paretta Autosport, the first female-forward team to compete in the Indianapolis 500.
EARLY YEARS
Born in Connecticut, Beth grew up in a family that nurtured her passion for cars. At age six, she experienced the devastating loss of her brother Michael to leukemia, which led her to find solace in cars and racing. She began reading car magazines to maintain a connection with her father, while the sights and sounds of NASCAR and Formula One races on television further ignited her love for motorsports. After earning a film degree from Boston University and an MBA from the University of Vermont, she embarked on her journey in the automotive industry.
EARLY SUCCESS
Beth’s career in motorsports began not as a driver but as an influential executive. After working in car sales and finance at Volkswagen Credit, she moved to operations at Aston Martin in 2007. Her breakthrough came in 2011 when she became the first female director of Marketing and Operations for Chrysler’s performance division SRT. Under her leadership, the team secured multiple championships, including the 2012 NASCAR Cup Series championship with Dodge and Team Penske, and the 2014 IMSA GTLM championship with the Viper GTS-R program.

Her innovative approach to creating a predominantly female team—including mechanics, engineers, and pit crew—has established her as a visionary in the male-dominated racing industry. Her commitment extends beyond competition to empowering women through STEM education and creating pathways for underrepresented groups in technical racing careers. Her influence has earned her recognition as a “Game Changer” by Sports Business Journal, and she serves on the Board of Directors of the Motorsports Hall of Fame of America.
FUTURE GOALS/PLANS
While continuing her role as VP of Sporting for Formula E, Beth remains committed to expanding Paretta Autosport’s presence across multiple racing series through strategic partnerships. Her long-term vision focuses on creating sustainable pathways for women in motorsports, from engineering and mechanical roles to driving and team ownership. She aims to transform the industry’s landscape by establishing her team as a permanent fixture in top-tier racing competitions while advancing her STEM initiatives to inspire the next generation of female racing professionals.
