Cassidy Keitt
NASCAR racing // Winston-Salem, North Carolina, United States
If racing didn’t work out I would like to go to college for engineering to learn more about cars[4].
I just try to focus as much as possible and mute everyone out to get my mind right[4].
After a win, I always go to see my family up in the stands before leaving, and then of course I always head to Andy’s to get a treat![4]
Cassidy Keitt is a trailblazing female racer from Lexington, North Carolina who has risen from go-kart competitions to become a promising talent in NASCAR’s development pipeline, carrying forward her family’s racing legacy while forging her own path in motorsports.
EARLY YEARS
Growing up in Lexington, North Carolina provided the perfect backdrop for Cassidy’s racing journey. At just seven years old, her uncle, Ryan Sparks—a crew chief in the racing industry—asked her a life-changing question during a car ride: “Do you want to race?” Without hesitation, she agreed, launching her career at Middleburg Speedway in a wing kart. The racing lineage runs deep in her family; both her great-grandfather and grandfather were racers, creating a natural environment for her to develop her passion. Her father, Justin Keitt, has been a constant support, attending her races and believing in both her talent and the safety protocols of the sport.
EARLY SUCCESS
Cassidy’s racing journey began with humility—she frequently got lapped during her first year of competition at Millbridge Speedway. However, this initial struggle only fueled her determination. By 2017, her persistence paid off dramatically when she clinched the Beginner Box Stock Championship at Millbridge, a remarkable achievement that saw her not only competing against but often lapping the boys on track[3]. This victory wasn’t merely a win; it was a declaration of her potential in motorsports. Her success came from countless hours of practice, driving laps in parking lots and on dirt tracks, constantly refining her skills and pushing boundaries. Between races, she maintained her competitive edge playing basketball with her crew at the shop, balancing her intense racing schedule with family time, particularly beach trips and moments with her two dogs[1][2].
NOTABLE ACHIEVEMENTS
- 2017: Crowned Beginner Box Stock Champion at Millbridge Speedway[3].
- 2023: Selected to participate in NASCAR and Rev Racing’s Advance Auto Parts Drive for Diversity Combine[5].
- 2024: Competed in NASCAR Advance Auto Parts Weekly Series and Late Model Stock division with Rev Racing[1][2].
REPUTATION
On the track, Cassidy has built a reputation as a fierce competitor who refuses to let gender define her capabilities. Her journey from being lapped to winning races “back to back” demonstrates her exceptional growth and resilience[1]. Unlike many drivers, she doesn’t rely on pre-race rituals or superstitions; instead, she focuses intensely on the task at hand, blocking out distractions[2]. Beyond her driving skills, she’s known for her work ethic and growing confidence—qualities that have earned her respect in the pits and on the track. As part of Rev Racing’s Drive for Diversity program, she’s emerged as an inspiration for young women interested in motorsports, proving that talent and determination, not gender, define a racer’s potential[1][5]. Her car number #7 has become something of a signature in her racing career, representing her journey from those early days at Millbridge to competing in NASCAR’s development series.
FUTURE GOALS/PLANS
In 2025, Cassidy will continue her development with Rev Racing, competing in the NASCAR Advance Auto Parts Weekly Series and focusing on the challenging Late Model Stock division[1][2]. Like many drivers in NASCAR’s development pipeline, her ultimate aspiration is to progress through the racing ranks, potentially reaching the pinnacle of stock car racing—the NASCAR Cup Series[5]. Currently in her second year with Rev Racing, she’s building the foundation and gaining the experience necessary to advance her career. The continued support from Rev Racing and her participation in the Drive for Diversity program position her well for future opportunities in higher NASCAR series.
