FULL BIO: Chantal Prinz
Chantal Prinz carved her path in endurance racing through sheer determination, racking up 12 wins and 30 podiums across more than 70 race starts while proving that motherhood and motorsports can fuel each other beautifully.
EARLY YEARS
Born December 4, 1981, in Wädenswil, Canton Zürich, Switzerland, Chantal grew up in a family where motorsports ran in the blood. Her father, Michael Kroll, had his own racing ambitions and eventually founded a team that would become the launching pad for his daughter’s career. While details of her childhood remain private, the racing bug clearly bit early—though it would take until 2005 for Chantal to make her move into the driver’s seat.
OTHER INTERESTS
Like many details of her personal life, Chantal keeps her interests outside of racing close to the vest. What we do know is that in October 2019, she welcomed daughter Amelie into the world, adding the ultimate balancing act to her already demanding racing schedule.
EARLY SUCCESS
Chantal’s racing journey began at the end of 2005 when she joined her father’s team, immediately jumping into the deep end with a Porsche 964. No gentle introduction to weekend track days for this Swiss racer—she went straight for the endurance racing that would define her career. The transition from complete newcomer to competitive driver happened with the kind of efficiency you’d expect from someone with Swiss precision in their DNA.
NOTABLE ACHIEVEMENTS
- 2014: Third overall finish at Zolder 24 Hours
- Multiple class wins at Nürburgring 24 Hours
- Eighth place finish in GT3 class at Catalunya 24H Series
- Career totals: 12 wins and 30 podiums across 63 race starts
INSPIRATIONS
While Chantal hasn’t publicly shared details about her racing heroes or what drives her passion for motorsports, her father Michael Kroll clearly played a pivotal role in both inspiring and enabling her racing career through his team.
REPUTATION
Prinz has built her reputation as a consistent and reliable endurance racer, primarily associated with Hofor Racing throughout her career. Her impressive statistics—12 wins and 30 podiums—speak to someone who shows up prepared and delivers results when it counts. In the demanding world of 24-hour racing, where mechanical failures and driver errors can destroy months of preparation in minutes, her track record suggests both skill behind the wheel and smart racecraft.
FUTURE GOALS/PLANS
Chantal continues her partnership with Hofor Racing and has confirmed participation in the 2025 Michelin 24H Series Middle East Trophy, proving that even as a mother, she’s not slowing down her pursuit of endurance racing excellence.
