Francisca's bio:

Portuguese racer Ana Francisca “Kika” Queiroz has made a name for herself as a fierce competitor in everything from karting to endurance racing, earning her place as one of the most promising young talents in Iberian motorsport.

EARLY YEARS

Born April 10, 2006, in Braga, Portugal, Queiroz didn’t start racing until August 2020—a relatively late entry into a sport where most drivers begin as children. But what she lacked in early-career mileage, she more than made up for in raw determination. Her family’s unwavering support became the foundation of her racing career, a rarity in a sport that often sees parents hesitant to back their daughters’ ambitions. While observers initially dismissed the idea of a young woman competing seriously in motorsport, her family never wavered, providing both financial backing and emotional encouragement as she navigated a male-dominated world.

OTHER INTERESTS

Beyond the track, Kika dreams of becoming a Porsche factory driver—a goal she’s been working toward since the moment she first sat in a kart. Her personal website proudly declares this ambition, and everything about her career trajectory suggests she’s not just dreaming, but building.

EARLY SUCCESS

Queiroz’s karting debut in 2020 was nothing short of spectacular. She immediately claimed the national title in the junior women’s category, announcing herself as a driver to watch. In 2022, she represented Portugal at the FIA Motorsport Games as part of an all-female Karting Endurance team alongside Matilde Magalhães and Margarida Furtado—a historic moment for Portuguese women in racing. She continued competing in karting through 2024, racing in the Campeonato de Portugal de Karting Toyota X30 series, where she finished 18th overall. By then, however, she had already set her sights on bigger machines.

Her transition to car racing came with the Porsche Sprint Challenge Iberica, where she piloted a Porsche 991.1 GT3 Cup car. The series became her proving ground, and she dominated the Ladies Cup with a level of consistency that left competitors in the dust. In 2024 alone, she claimed seven wins out of eight possible races in the Ladies Cup, leading the championship with authority. She also secured third overall in the AM category by season’s end, proving she could compete with—and often beat—male drivers in the same machinery.

In January 2024, Queiroz made her debut in the 24H Series, competing in the 6 Hours of Abu Dhabi with P21 Motorsport. Driving a pink Porsche alongside Alexandre Fonseca, Rúben Costa, and José Monroy, she gained invaluable endurance racing experience despite the team’s retirement after 73 laps. The race wasn’t about results—it was about learning, and she did exactly that, improving her pace throughout the sessions and proving she could handle the physical and mental demands of long-distance racing.

NOTABLE ACHIEVEMENTS

  • 2020: Won the Campeonato de Portugal de Karting national title in the junior women’s category[1].
  • 2022: Represented Portugal at the FIA Motorsport Games as part of an all-female Karting Endurance team[2].
  • 2024: Won the Porsche Sprint Challenge Iberica Ladies Cup with seven victories from eight races[3].
  • 2024: Finished third overall in the Porsche Sprint Challenge Iberica AM category[4].
  • 2024: Competed in the 24H Series, making her debut at the 6 Hours of Abu Dhabi[5].

INSPIRATIONS

While specific inspirations aren’t documented, Queiroz has been vocal about the challenges women face in motorsport, particularly the dismissive attitudes from observers who don’t take female racers seriously. Her response? Let the results do the talking. She’s also emphasized the critical role her family has played, noting that their belief in her abilities made all the difference in a sport where support—financial and emotional—is everything.

REPUTATION

Kika Queiroz has built a reputation as a consistent, no-nonsense competitor who shows up, performs, and wins. In the Porsche Sprint Challenge Iberica, she became the first female driver to truly dominate a class, and her performances in mixed-gender categories have proven she belongs on track with anyone. Her pink P21 Motorsport Porsche became a recognizable symbol of her presence in endurance racing, and her ability to balance speed with consistency has earned respect from teams and competitors alike. She’s known for solid racecraft, smart decision-making, and an unshakable work ethic.

FUTURE GOALS/PLANS

Queiroz’s 2025 season continues in the Porsche Sprint Challenge Iberica, where she’s expected to defend her Ladies Cup title and push for even stronger results in the overall standings. Her dream remains clear: to become a Porsche factory driver. With her track record of turning ambition into achievement, it’s hard to bet against her.
