Okay, so here’s the scoopy about this tab: there isn’t anything here – yet. Obviously.
GRRL! will soon transition from a “directory” website to a true social media site for women in motorsports. When that happens Jade will take over this profile page. When she does, all the news and video and social media will continue to be automatically aggregated to this page just as it is now. She won’t have to do anything. BUT what will be very different is:
- She can correct whatever errors we’ve made trying to gather all the info you see (we’re sorry {acf_last_name_real}!)
- She can treat this profile page as a simple way to post messages and/or pictures. “Tweet” if you will.
- There will be a CALENDAR she can update easily to allow her followers to know everything upcoming. Easy-peasy.
- And any fans that “subscribe” to this page will be notified whenever she posts, updates her calendar, or any of the automatically added news, videos, or socials are added.
And all of this is 100% free. Everyone you recommend – especially racers – helps us get there faster.
Zoom!
This will be where you can post comments, Jade can respond, and all can express their thrill of watching Jade continue her career in motorsports.
Jade Avedisian is making history as the first female driver to win a national midget championship, blazing a trail for women in motorsports with her aggressive driving style and remarkable achievements at just 17 years old.
EARLY YEARS
Born in Clovis, California, Jade was introduced to motorsports at age 4 when her father Ryan, who has a background in sprint car racing, bought her a quarter midget. Initially reluctant during those Sunday practice sessions in empty parking lots, she quickly developed a fierce passion for racing that would shape her future[1][2].
EARLY SUCCESS
At just 15 years old, Avedisian set fast time on four occasions in the USAC NOS Midget National Championship, becoming the all-time series leader in this category. Her rookie year in 2022 with Chad Boat Industries marked a historic breakthrough when she became the first female driver to claim a checkered flag in a national midget race[2][5]. The family’s commitment to her career led them to relocate to Mooresville, North Carolina, to facilitate her training at the Toyota Performance Center[2].
NOTABLE ACHIEVEMENTS
- 2017: Participated in the 32nd Annual Tulsa Shootout – Junior Sprints, finishing 13th[1].
- 2022: Competed in the USAC National Midget Series with Chad Boat, finishing 16th in points[1].
- 2023: Won five Xtreme Outlaw midget races and became the first woman to win a national midget championship[2][4].
- 2023: Made the main event in the Chili Bowl as a rookie and achieved a top-three finish at a Chili Bowl midget nationals preliminary night[4].
- 2024: Competed in the Toyota GR Cup North America for Nitro Motorsports and the USAC NOS Energy Drink Midget National Championship for Keith Kunz Motorsport[1][4].
REPUTATION
Avedisian has quickly established herself as a groundbreaking talent in midget racing circles, earning respect for her composure under pressure and strategic racing approach. Her historic championship with Keith Kunz Motorsports in 2023 cemented her reputation as a trailblazer for women in motorsports[1][2]. Emulating the style of her role model Kyle Larson, Jade has demonstrated remarkable skill and determination despite challenges, including overcoming a concussion that temporarily sidelined her early in her career[3].
FUTURE GOALS/PLANS
With the backing of Toyota Racing Development through a multi-year contract, Jade’s ultimate aspiration is to compete in the NASCAR Cup Series on Sundays[1][3]. Her development plan includes continuing her transition to asphalt racing with Toyota’s support, with hopes of advancing through NASCAR’s developmental ladder system in the coming years[5].
