FULL BIO: Kiara Henni
Kiara Henni is a young German racing driver who transitioned from karting to formula racing with the support of her family team Henni-Performance. She made her F4 Central European Zone Championship debut in 2025, driven by a childhood fascination with speed that began with a pedal kart in her backyard.
EARLY YEARS
Growing up in Germany, Kiara wasn’t initially a motorsport fan, but she was always fascinated by speed. Her racing journey began in the most humble way possible—driving a pedal kart around the yard, where she developed early skills in speed and control. At age 10, she made the leap to actual racing karting, and as she puts it, “when I got into a racing-kart at ten years old, I knew this was what I wanted to pursue.” Her father has been instrumental in supporting her racing ambitions, operating the family racing team Henni-Performance that would eventually become her professional home.
OTHER INTERESTS
Information about Kiara’s interests outside of motorsport remains undocumented, suggesting her focus has been laser-sharp on racing from an early age.
EARLY SUCCESS
After several years of karting, Henni made the significant transition to formula racing, competing in the Carbonia Cup before stepping up to the F4 Central European Zone Championship in 2025. Her debut at Spielberg in April 2025 marked a major milestone—she completed all three races and showed improvement throughout the weekend. For Kiara, success isn’t measured solely in trophies: “For me, success isn’t just about trophies; it’s about personal growth… the transition from karting to formula racing has been my biggest achievement.”
NOTABLE ACHIEVEMENTS
- 2025: Made F4 Central European Zone Championship debut at Spielberg, completing all three races with consistent improvement[1].
- 2025: Successfully transitioned from karting to formula racing via Carbonia Cup competition[1].
INSPIRATIONS
Henni draws inspiration from German female racer Sophia Flörsch, whom she considers her biggest role model. “My biggest role model is Sophia Flörsch… Her mindset and fighting spirit inspire me greatly,” she explains. This admiration is particularly meaningful given both drivers’ German heritage and Flörsch’s reputation for resilience in the face of adversity. Under the guidance of mentor Laurents Hörr, Kiara continues to develop her racing skills and career trajectory.
REPUTATION
Within the motorsport community, Kiara is regarded as a promising young driver who has shown remarkable determination in progressing quickly from karting to formula racing. She faces a unique challenge—a speech impediment due to a rare FOXP2 gene condition—but this has not limited her racing ambitions or dampened her spirit. Her resilience and fighting attitude, inspired by her role model Sophia Flörsch, have earned her respect among peers and mentors. She’s seen as supportive of female presence in motorsports, though she hasn’t taken on explicit advocacy roles.
FUTURE GOALS/PLANS
Henni’s ambitions extend far beyond her current F4 CEZ campaign. “My dream is to build a professional career in motorsport… In five years, I hope to be competing in a higher formula series and establishing myself as a strong driver,” she states. Her goal is to continue progressing within the formula racing ladder, ultimately aiming to compete at higher international levels. With the continued support of Henni-Performance and her mentor Laurents Hörr, she’s positioning herself for a sustained climb through the motorsport ranks.
