FULL BIO: Lucie Boudesseul
Lucie Boudesseul is a French motorcycle racer who has already made history as the youngest woman to podium in European bike racing at age 20, proving that passion can triumph over circumstance when your parents think motorcycles are about as appealing as brussels sprouts.
EARLY YEARS
Born around 2003-2004, Lucie’s love affair with motorcycles began at age five during what should have been a routine visit to a motorcycle shop. She climbed onto a Yamaha PW50 and refused to get off—a move that would make any parent’s heart skip several beats. Her parents, who had zero connection to motorcycling, weren’t exactly thrilled about their daughter’s newfound obsession. But as Lucie puts it, “I was always passionate about motorcycles. It might seem a bit strange because my parents were never into them. For as long as I can remember, I’ve always loved bikes.” Sometimes the apple doesn’t just fall far from the tree—it rolls into an entirely different orchard.
OTHER INTERESTS
Information about Lucie’s interests outside of racing remains as elusive as a perfect racing line in the rain. What we do know is that motorcycles have dominated her world since childhood, leaving little room for documenting other pursuits.
EARLY SUCCESS
Lucie’s breakthrough came in 2023 when she became the youngest woman to podium in European bike racing at just 20 years old. The following year proved she wasn’t a one-hit wonder—she secured two podium finishes in the mixed-gender French Superbike Championship (FSBK) and set the women’s lap record on the Carole circuit. Not bad for someone whose parents probably still wish she’d taken up tennis instead.
NOTABLE ACHIEVEMENTS
- 2023: Became youngest woman to podium in European bike racing at age 20.
- 2024: Achieved two podium finishes in French Superbike Championship (FSBK) mixed-gender competition.
- 2024: Set women’s lap record on Carole circuit.
- 2025: Competed in FIM Women’s Circuit Racing World Championship (WorldWCR) with GMT94 Yamaha team.
INSPIRATIONS
Lucie’s inspiration appears to be refreshingly self-generated. With parents who had no motorcycling background, her passion developed independently from family influence. Her determination is perhaps best captured in her own words: “I proved all of them wrong”—a statement that suggests she’s drawn motivation from those who doubted a young woman’s place in motorcycle racing.
REPUTATION
Within the racing community, Lucie has established herself as a formidable talent who doesn’t just compete—she wins. Her ability to secure podiums in mixed-gender competitions speaks volumes about her racecraft and speed. Media coverage consistently portrays her as determined and passionate, someone who lets her riding do the talking. Her historical achievements at such a young age have positioned her as one of the most promising talents in women’s motorcycle racing, proving that sometimes the best way to handle skeptics is to leave them eating your dust.
FUTURE GOALS/PLANS
For 2025, Lucie continues her campaign in the FIM Women’s Circuit Racing World Championship with GMT94 Yamaha. Currently sitting tied for 9th in the championship standings with 46 points mid-season, she’s building momentum in the international women’s racing circuit. While she crashed in the opening round’s first race, her 9th-place finish in race two showed the resilience that has defined her career so far.
