EARLY YEARS
Born on November 13, 1992, in Växjö, Sweden, Mikaela grew up surrounded by motorsport royalty. Her father, Fredrik Åhlin-Kottulinsky, was a Swedish rallycross champion, while her grandfather, Freddy Kottulinsky, claimed victory in the legendary 1984 Paris-Dakar Rally as a Porsche factory driver. By age nine, she transitioned from spectator to competitor, climbing into her first kart with dreams of following her father’s tire tracks. “I wanted to be like my dad,” she once shared with Motorsport.com, highlighting how his career opened doors in a male-dominated sport.
