Mikayla Moore is a professional motorcycle racer from Upper Marlboro, Maryland, who has dominated the Royal Enfield Build. Train. Race. series, winning 14 of 15 races across the 2023 and 2024 seasons.

EARLY YEARS

Growing up in a family immersed in motorsports, Mikayla was introduced to motorcycles at just six years old when her parents gave her a Yamaha TT-R50 to ride in a dirt field near their home. Her father Will, who owns a mobile motorcycle service business, trained her for 14 years, while her brother Will Jr., also a dirt bike rider, became a racing teammate, creating a supportive environment that nurtured her talent from an early age.

EARLY SUCCESS

Her competitive journey began in September 2011 at Sandy Hook Speedway in Maryland, where she finished second in her first race on her Yamaha TT-R50. By the age of 10, she had already established herself as a promising talent in the Sandy Hook MiniGP Series, winning races and titles. Her participation in the Royal Enfield Build. Train. Race. series, designed to teach women how to build and race their own motorcycles, became a pivotal moment that helped her gain recognition in the MotoAmerica paddock.

NOTABLE ACHIEVEMENTS

  • 2011: Entered her first race at Sandy Hook Speedway at the age of 7[4].
  • 2016: Participated in races with Evolve GT Track Days to improve her skills on larger displacement machines[4].
  • 2017: Obtained her motorcycle racing license at the age of 13[4].
  • 2020: Competed in the Championship Cup Series (CCS) season as an expert[4].
  • 2023: Won her 6th consecutive race and championship in the Royal Enfield BTR program[2].
  • 2024: Won Race two at Ridge Motorsports Park, breaking her own lap record with a 2:02.327 and winning by over 44 seconds[1].
  • 2024: Achieved title of two-time champion in the Royal Enfield Build.Train.Race. Road Race Program[4].
  • 2024: Won 5 out of 6 races in the Build.Train.Race. Championship[5].

REPUTATION

Now 20 years old, Mikayla has established herself as a formidable competitor who predominantly races against men in a male-dominated sport. Her achievements through the Royal Enfield Build, Train, Race program have earned her recognition and respect within the racing community as she breaks barriers for women and minorities in motorsports. Her dedication is evident in her extensive training regimen, both physically at the gym and technically on the track under her father’s guidance. She embodies her personal motto of believing in oneself and taking chances.

FUTURE GOALS/PLANS

Looking beyond her current success as a two-time BTR champion, Mikayla aims to advance to more competitive racing series such as the Twins Cup or Super Hooligan class. She aspires to compete in overseas series to expand her international presence and secure additional sponsorships. Her long-term vision includes inspiring younger generations of female racers while continuing to break barriers in the motorsport industry. As she pursues these goals, she plans to maintain her community involvement through motorcycle safety events and coaching with Evolve GT Track Days.
