FULL BIO: Zoe Woods
Zoe Woods is making waves as one of Australia’s most promising young motorsports talents, becoming the first woman to win a race in the GT4 Australia Pro-Am class while simultaneously dominating on the world stage in surf lifesaving.
EARLY YEARS
Born October 22, 2007, Zoe grew up on Australia’s Gold Coast in Queensland, where the ocean was practically her backyard and competitive spirit ran in the family. Her older sister Emma Woods carved out a career as a professional ironwoman, creating a household where athletic excellence wasn’t just encouraged—it was the standard. The coastal environment of the Sunshine Coast fostered a community rich in water sports and athletics, with the Alexandra Headland Surf Life Saving Club serving as a second home where accomplished athletes mentored the next generation.
OTHER INTERESTS
When she’s not tearing up race tracks, Zoe dominates in the surf as an elite-level lifesaving athlete competing at world championships. At just 16, she claimed two gold medals in youth board and youth swim events, plus a bronze in the youth ironwoman division at the 2024 Lifesaving World Championships held at Broadbeach on her home Gold Coast. Outside of athletics, she’s channeled her entrepreneurial spirit into “Lulu Lashes and Beauty,” where she works as a lash and brow expert—proving she can master precision whether it’s hitting racing lines or perfecting beauty techniques.
EARLY SUCCESS
Zoe’s transition from karting to national motor racing happened with impressive speed. She launched her national racing career in 2022 with the Australian Production Cars series at approximately age 15, quickly progressing to the Toyota Gazoo Racing Australia 86 Series in 2023. By 2024, she had stepped up to GT4 Australia with TekworkX Motorsport, sharing a Porsche 718 Cayman GT4 Clubsport with Nash Morris. Her rapid progression through increasingly competitive series demonstrated both natural talent and serious commitment to the craft.

INSPIRATIONS
Her biggest inspiration comes from watching her sister Emma’s professional ironwoman career unfold. “Watching my sister make her first professional series inspired me to work even harder so that one day I’ll be racing alongside her,” Zoe has said[2]. The mentorship culture at Alexandra Headland SLSC also shapes her approach to competition. “We’re fortunate to have so many accomplished ironmen and women who serve as mentors to the next generation… Their guidance inspires us to set ambitious goals, build winning mindsets, and push ourselves further,” she notes[2].
REPUTATION
Woods has quickly established herself as a driver with both rapid skill development and impressive consistency, evidenced by her string of podium finishes across multiple venues. Media coverage consistently highlights her historic GT4 Australia achievement and strong racecraft, with occasional comparisons to fellow female racer Summer Rintoule. Within the GT4 Australia community and TekworkX Motorsport, she’s recognized as a barrier-breaking talent whose breakthrough win represents a significant moment for female drivers in the series.
FUTURE GOALS/PLANS
Currently competing in the 2025 GT4 Australia season with TekworkX Motorsport, Zoe continues her partnership with co-driver Nash Morris while maintaining her consistent podium-finishing form. She has expressed her desire to keep progressing in GT racing while following the sporting example set by her sister in ironwoman competition, suggesting ambitions that stretch well beyond her current achievements.
