Motorsport has long been seen as a man’s world. But the Iron Dames are proving that talent, determination and resilience have nothing to do with gender.

Founded by Deborah Mayer, the Iron Dames project was created to give women the opportunity to compete at the very highest levels of motorsport. Not in a separate category but alongside the best drivers in the world.

Drivers like Rahel Frey, Michelle Gatting and Sarah Bovy have raced in some of the toughest endurance events in the sport, including the legendary 24 Hours of Le Mans and the FIA World Endurance Championship.

In 2023 they made history when their all-female crew secured a landmark victory at the 8 Hours of Bahrain, becoming the first all-female team to win a race in the championship.

But the Iron Dames are about more than results. Their mission is to inspire the next generation of girls to see a future for themselves in racing, engineering and every part of the motorsport world.

Because sometimes changing the future of a sport starts with the courage to challenge what people thought was possible. 🏁
