FABIENNE LANZ, ANDREA AYMON Lead Five Women at FIA’s Bahrain WEC Experience

• The FIA turned the 8 Hours of Bahrain into something more than just another WEC finale by bringing five female sim racers from around the globe for an exclusive behind-the-scenes experience. FABIENNE LANZ from South Africa (founder of Girls Camp for Africa), ANDREA AYMON from Switzerland (six-time GT3 Endurance champion on iRacing), BEVERLEY D’SOUZA from Dubai, HOLLY CARD from the UK, and BRENNA SCHUBERT from the USA earned their spots through an online Time Attack competition on iRacing.
• These women didn’t just get VIP treatment – they got the full motorsport education package with hands-on testing of Le Mans Ultimate (the official WEC video game), visits to Race Control and Scrutineering, and garage tours of Ferrari AF Corse, Iron Dames, and BMW M Team WRT during live race action. It’s the kind of access that gives sim racers real insight into what happens beyond the digital cockpit.
• The program perfectly bridges the gap between virtual and real-world racing, showing that the FIA Women in Motorsport Commission is serious about creating pathways for female talent.
