GRRL! SUMMARY:
- CELIA MARTIN scored her first GT2 European Series win at Misano driving the LP Racing Maserati, storming from mid-pack to second before co-driver LUCA PIRRI sealed Race 1 victory, though post-race disqualification stripped the result.
- The debutante showed serious pace overtaking the Ginetta for P2 during the opening stint, holding off multiple rivals before handing to PIRRI who pulled clear until a last-lap Lorenzo Marcucci attack went sideways.
- MARTIN and PIRRI rebounded in Race 2 with sixth overall and second Masters class after surviving a chaotic weekend that saw multiple Maseratis crash out including Antoine Potty’s violent barrier impact and Philippe Prette’s late collision.
- Iron Dames driver VAN DEN HENGEL partnered with Bovy to finish ninth in Race 1 and tenth in Race 2 at the wheel of their Porsche, collecting solid Pro/Am points across both Misano rounds.
UPCOMING:
- GT2 European Series Round 4 – TBA
