GRRL! SUMMARY:
- LUNA FLUXA CROSS made history as the first woman to win an FIA International championship since 1966, dominating the inaugural Champions of the Future Academy OK-N Senior class with six final wins and nine podiums. The 14-year-old Mercedes Junior driver and Iron Dames program member secured the title with a race to spare, finishing with a staggering 127-point margin over her nearest rival in a field of over 45 elite karters.
- The COTFA series, created with F1 Academy’s support, proved its worth as a development platform for female talent in mixed-gender competition. Beyond Fluxa’s dominance, we saw impressive performances from SKYE PARKER (13th in final standings despite joining only for Middle East rounds), SOFIA ZANFARI’s remarkable 10-place climb in the final race to 11th, and CHARLOTTE PAGE’s 12-position surge to finish 12th in the season finale.
- Under the watchful eyes of Susie and Toto Wolff at Abu Dhabi, the final race showcased exactly why this program matters. While FLUXA narrowly missed out on a seventh win after a brilliant charge from second that saw her break the 56-second barrier and close a two-second gap to under half a second, her season-long consistency speaks volumes about what happens when female drivers get proper support and competitive machinery in high-level racing.
