GRRL! SUMMARY:

  • ATIQA MIR, 11, became only the third driver in series history to sweep qualifying, heats and finals at Champions of the Future Round 2, dominating the OK-NJ field with pole position (56.77s) nearly three tenths ahead.
  • The F1 Academy-supported Indian won Round 2.2 by a commanding 2.6 seconds, pulling away to 3.9 seconds advantage in just eight laps of the 15-lap final against mostly older, more experienced male competitors.
  • ATIQA dominated both heat races wire-to-wire, winning Heat 2 by over a second to secure P1 grid position, then delivered a racing masterclass on the gruelling physical Thessaloniki circuit.
  • Despite setup issues causing P4 qualifying in Round 2.1, ATIQA rebounded with P2 and P1 heat finishes. The Mumbai-born racer aims to become F1’s first female driver since the early 1990s.
