ATIQA MIR Finishes Sixth in FIA European Championship Karting Debut

- ATIQA MIR, India’s first F1 Academy backed driver, delivered a breakthrough sixth-place finish in Race 2 at the FIA European Championship karting series, competing as a wildcard entry against 92 experienced drivers.
- The 11-year-old voluntarily moved up to the OKJ category (higher age group), qualifying 15th and fighting through to Super Heats while managing more powerful equipment and unfamiliar Maxxis tyres.
- MIR secured fastest lap in Race 5, showcasing raw speed despite being among the youngest competitors. Her performance attracted paddock-wide attention as she aims to become F1’s first female since 1992.
- Despite penalties and crashes, MIR demonstrated belonging in the elevated competition level. She’ll compete in COTFA International round two in Greece and FIA World Cup later this year.
