GRRL! SUMMARY:
- CELIA MARTIN completed her maiden Le Mans 24 Hours in emotional fashion, stepping up from last year’s support race experience to tackle the main event in the #85 Porsche with Iron Dames. Her heartfelt post-race reflection showed genuine respect for the legendary race and pride in reaching the finish line with her teammates after this milestone achievement.
- SARAH BOVY proved her value as the ultimate team player, stepping in last-minute to replace MICHELLE GATTING after a freak pit stop accident left Gatting with a fractured foot during test day preparations. Bovy’s seamless integration kept the Iron Dames’ Le Mans streak alive, maintaining their record of never giving up and always crossing the finish line.
- The Iron Dames showed genuine pace early on, climbing from the back of the grid to run in the top five during the opening hours before gear-shifting gremlins struck in hour 15. Despite finishing seven laps down and requiring garage time for repairs, they still beat eight other LMGT3 entries to the checkered flag, proving their resilience in motorsport’s most demanding test.
