GRRL! SUMMARY:

  • MARIA HERRERA delivered when it mattered most, claiming pole position with a 1’48.146 at WorldWCR’s historic Assen debut. The 2024 championship runner-up was the only rider to break into the 1’48s during practice and backed it up when the pressure was on. Her Klint Forward Factory Team clearly found something special on this new-to-them Dutch circuit.
  • Rookie AVALON LEWIS made an immediate statement for New Zealand, qualifying fourth and missing the front row by less than a tenth. That’s the kind of debut performance that gets people’s attention, especially when you’re going head-to-head with established WorldWCR veterans. Meanwhile, Australia’s TAYLA RELPH secured sixth on the grid for Full Throttle Racing.
  • The competitive balance in WorldWCR continues to impress with eight different nationalities filling the top ten in practice. BEATRIZ NEILA and SARA SANCHEZ join Herrera on the front row, while the third row features CHLOE JONES, ISIS CARRENO, and LUCY MICHEL separated by just two tenths. When the racing is this tight in a spec series, track position becomes everything.
