EARLY YEARS

Born on August 25, 1997, in San Jose, California, Jianna grew up immersed in motorsports as the daughter of NHRA Top Fuel driver Mike Salinas. She and her sisters, including fellow racer Jasmine Salinas, were exposed to drag racing from a young age while growing up in the San Francisco Bay Area. This family environment, with its deep roots in racing, laid the foundation for her eventual career in professional motorsports.

EARLY SUCCESS

Evaristo made her mark in competitive racing with several remarkable breakthroughs. In 2023, she crossed the 200 mph barrier at the Pep Boys NHRA Nationals at Maple Grove Raceway with a run of 6.795 seconds at 200.02 mph on her Valley Services Suzuki. By 2024, she had reached the second final-round appearance of her career at the Super Grip NHRA Thunder Valley Nationals in Bristol, powering her Scrappers Racing Buell to an impressive runner-up finish against reigning world champion Gaige Herrera.

NOTABLE ACHIEVEMENTS

2019: Won the season-ending event in Pomona, considered one of the biggest upsets in NHRA history.
2024: Reached the final round of the Super Grip NHRA Thunder Valley Nationals at Bristol Dragway, finishing as runner-up with a time of 6.861 seconds at 197.94 mph.
2024: Reset career best elapsed time and mph at the 36th annual DENSO NHRA Sonoma Nationals with a run of 6.674 seconds at 204.54 mph.
2024: Raced to the final round of the GETTRX Pro Stock Motorcycle All-Star Callout.
