After being tied at 45 points each following the season opener, HERRERA capitalized on NEILA’s Cremona struggles to build a 13-point lead, but NEILA clawed back four points at Donington when HERRERA faltered to third in Race 2. Both riders have proven they can dominate races and execute dramatic late overtakes, setting up an explosive showdown at Hungary’s Balaton Park Circuit.
• SARA SANCHEZ earned her breakthrough moment at Donington with a second-place finish in Race 2, holding off HERRERA to claim her third podium and best result of the season. Meanwhile, ROBERTA PONZIANI’s championship hopes took a hit with a back-of-grid penalty leading to her worst result of the season – a P10 in Race 1. CHLOE JONES announced herself as a serious contender with her maiden WorldWCR podium at her home round, while PAKITA RUIZ sits just three points behind in the tight battle for fifth place.
