GRRL! SUMMARY:

  • MARIA HERRERA delivered when it mattered most, turning on the afterburners to claim her fourth WorldWCR win of the season at Balaton. The Klint Forward Racing rider crossed the line more than a second clear of the field, extending her championship lead to 18 points over nearest rival BEATRIZ NEILA. With the title fight heating up, HERRERA proved she’s not about to let this opportunity slip through her fingers.
  • CHLOE JONES showed exactly why grid penalties can’t keep a determined rider down. Starting three positions back from her qualifying spot, the GR Motosport rider fought her way through a chaotic 11-lap battle that saw her oscillate between first and fourth. When it counted, JONES pulled off a last-lap heroic to secure second place – her best WorldWCR result to date and proof that sometimes adversity breeds excellence.
  • BEATRIZ NEILA kept her championship hopes alive despite a costly mistake that dropped her from potential victory to third place. The Ampito Crescent Yamaha rider was leading at times and showed the pace to challenge HERRERA, but a slip through the final chicane reminded us that at this level, perfection is the only currency that matters. Still, 16 points keeps her firmly in the hunt with everything to play for in Race 2.
