Ellie Norman is a prominent figure in motorsport management who currently serves as the Chief Marketing Officer at Formula E, bringing extensive experience from previous roles at Manchester United and Formula 1.
EARLY YEARS
Ellie grew up in the countryside on a farm, which shaped her interests and personality. Her upbringing included a love for the outdoors and physical activities such as pilates and exercise sessions.
EARLY SUCCESS
Norman obtained her racing license in 2007, but instead of pursuing a career as a driver, she leveraged her passion for motorsports into marketing and communications roles. She began her career in advertising and worked with brands such as Honda and Virgin Media.
NOTABLE ACHIEVEMENTS
- 2004: Joined Honda Motor Europe as Communications Manager.
- 2012: Became Head of Advertising at Virgin Media; won ‘Advertiser of the Decade’ at The Arrows while at Honda Motor Europe.
- 2017: Joined Formula 1 as the company’s first ever Director of Marketing and Communications.
- 2024: Appointed as Chief Marketing Officer at Formula E.
